818.0. "Happy Day!" by MARKER::KALLIS (Anger's no replacement for reason) Mon Aug 08 1988 15:38

                            -<just for fun>-

Happy 8/8/88 everybody! It's 1 yesr, 1 month, and 1 day until the
next numerical alignment; that of 9/9/99.

    Steve Kallis, Jr.

    Note that 8/8/88 has 4 8s.  Note that 8 is 2^3.  Note that 8+8+88=104;
since 104 has 3 places, the remainder (after overflow is 4, or 2^2.
    $ times 8 (4 8s) = 32 = 2^8.

The Daily Number in the Massachusetts State Lottery for 8/8/88 was:

                                  4 5 6 2

Not an 8 in the bunch.

The Rhode Island number, 2719, didn't have any, either. The tri-state
(VT, NH, ME) lottery numbers were 327 9074. No 8s.

The Connecticut numbers were 549 8318. Well, they had two out of
    seven.

Not good for betting on 8s.

However, the note number _is_ 818. That's as close as we can get
    so far to ***.

Numerology fasinates me. I am curious about my own birth although
I do not have the time (is it important?). Would like some opions
on what is lucky. I bought 67 lottery tickets once when it was 20
million.....got 3 free tickets....not only was it not lucky but
probably stupid. Any way.....I was born (DON'T TELL A SOUL!).....
7-7-43...now I thought always that was lucky because of the 7-7-
and 43 made 7 and even if you took and added it, it made 21 which
is suppose to be lucky...now if you take 21=3.....is 3 the lucky
number? Now on my birthday 7-7-77, which if you fiqure at that time
I was 34 which also made a 7....you would think that was pretty
good hey? Well that day was the most uneventfull day of my whole
life. Now we come to 1988. I am not having a good year at all...in
fact the worst.....but I HAVE won about 4000.00 at Bingo this year
which has never happened to me.......now is because it is 88 which
turns into 16 which reduces to 7......I know.......(I'm having a
nervous breakdown the way I ramble on)......But can someone tell
me if all these 7's are good or bad.......plus my other question
is does anyone know of the how many times or how many people this
happens to? Or does everyone eventually come to a birthday with
all the same numbers? Thanks.....This file is fun.......sign me
    a 7!

Gelatin is made by boiling animal hooves and hide for extended periods.

I believe the vegetable came to be named in this way:

Two divers were swimming in the ocean one day, when one of them
spotted a strange sea vegetable. He asked his friend what it was
but, being an ichthyologist, his friend thought the man was pointing
to a nearby fish and replied,

    "It's a gar! A gar!"

Such aspects of a person are probably principally guided by

I had white-blond hair as a child which has settled down to a
more normal blond color. My eyes are blue and I, too, wear
glasses but would love not to. I agree that hereditary has
more to do with the physical appearance than anything else.

< As far as personality is concerned, I'll let DEJAVUers judge whether
< or not I am stubborn (I rather suspect the answer is yes), but then
< that is supposed to be a characteristic of any Taurian, isn't it?
< (to the extent that the sun sign makes a difference by itself).

Are there any astrologers out there who would be willing and
able to pinpoint any characteristics that Topher and I would
be likely to share other than the obvious Taurean ones? It
seems that with the two births so relatively close in time
(notwithstanding the difference from one side of the time
zone to the other), we should have some similarities that are
	easy to spot.

As far as my personality goes, I guess I'm fairly easy-going,
more of a follower than a leader but have been delegated to or
assumed leadership positions rather easily (that means, when I
feel there is a need for it), take events a bit too personally
to feel comfortable with it any longer, and love to laugh and
enjoy myself. When faced with problems, I tend to analyze them
or figure out a logical answer and I can be nit-picky to the
	max!
