| Speculation:
It seems reasonable to me that on other worlds with incarnate beings
(or ones who's access to higher planes of existance is masked) that the
possibility for para-normal stuff would be there. On the other hand,
other-worldly inhabitabitants who don't exist on a physical plane might
may very well experience our type of para-normal as S.O.P (and perhaps
would have their own level of para-normal stuff, which would be
founded in still higher planes of existance :-) ).
I'd suppose that on other worlds and in other systems that the
astrology would not be identical.
If one assumes for a moment that the underlying principle of astrology
might be that:
o Each heavenly body emanates a particular spiritual energy.
o The sphere of influence of this body extends far beyond the
physical boundary of the object.
o That the planets, as they move around the star, are also
moving thru all of the spiritual energy fields.
o That the effect of the interaction of these fields at a
particular point in space can be different than at another
point.
Then the specific astrological rules for another world would depend
on the type of spiritual energies used on each astrological body in the
solar system and on the number and orbital speed of the planets around
the star(s) (and moons around the planets).
For example, if one happened to be an denizen of Mars, then the effects
of Mars and Earth would probably be much different, given that they
would be stationary with respect to Mars's energy field and moving thru
Earth's. Additionally, the movement thru all of the other spiritual
energy fields would be different, because Mars orbits the Sun half as
fast as Earth. The orbital cycles of the other planets would appear
to be different (more frequent per year) on Mars than on Earth.
And, of course, the rotational speed of the planet would also
have an effect, as would the number of moons.
With other solar systems, with different numbers of planets, different
rotational speeds and different numbers of stars, and perhaps different
spiritual forces, the astrological rules would, in all probablility, be
even more different! (Imagine the astrology of a twin-star system
with five orbiting planets! Gak!)
Of course, if this isn't how astrology works, then nevermind!

| Given that the rest of the known universe operates on the same physical
laws as us (i.e. planets revolve around stars, stars are clustered
into galaxies), it would stand to reason that there is some degree
of consistency all over the universe; indeed, that the same laws,
are in effect in all places. This would lead to the
conclusion that while there may be slightly different outward
manifestations of phenonema, differences caused by
the physical locations and characteristics of a given planet, the
underlying *laws* of mind, matter, and spirit, are the same for
all of creation.
Good case for Monotheism, eh, Mikie? ; )
