617.0. "The Official Rocky Mtn. DEJAVU party note" by BSS::BLAZEK (A new moon, a warm sum...) Wed Jan 06 1988 19:20

A couple months ago, Deb Wolbach, Alan Ackley, and I talked
about having a Rocky Mountain DEJAVU get-together.

We're now manifesting that idea into reality (see how easy
all this is??) by having a happy hour on Friday, January
    	29th, 5:30 p.m., at the Sunbird.

**EVERYONE** is invited, and anybody who wants to fly in
(you're not limited to airplanes in OUR realm!) is welcome!!
(Hopefully the roads will be clear so you Denverites can
    	drive down also.)

The Sunbird is located on the bluff above I-25 and Fillmore.
If you need a map I'll be happy to send one to you either
	electronically or by Interoffice Mail.

I'd like to get as many RSVPs as possible. (I can't possibly
let the Sunbird know what they're in for, but I can at least
provide them with how many people will be there!)

    					Cheers!!! Carla

I love the directions to the SUNBIRD, so allow me, please.

Take the Garden of the Gods Exit. Take a hairpin-right turn, so
that you are on the West frontage road. Wave at my apartment complex
to the left. Turn left at the first main street, which goes up-uphill.
You will see a sign that says SUNBIRD - turn right there. Enjoy
the view off the left cliff. Can get windy up there. Great view.
Good salad bar, if you are hungry.

    See and/or "see" you there,

Jack, what were you doing up at 2:30 a.m.???

Those present: Elizabeth Younger, her SO (I forgot his name),
Jayna Rabke, Jack Callaghan, Alan Ackley, Mike Baker, Meredith
Daniels, John Williams, Deb Wolbach, Dave Kachelmyer, and I.

An interesting part of the evening (especially to other patrons
of this establishment) was when we formed a circle and joined
hands. We closed our eyes and chanted "John...John..." in an
effort to teleport John Mitchell here. It didn't work. So we
decided we'd *call* him on Jack's mobile phone and found out
there are 50 John Mitchell's in Seattle. (Now THAT's a scary
    	revelation!!!)

RE: .28

Gee, Carla, I'm all choked up! *sniff*

I was out at a bar celebrating a friend's birthday, so you may rest assured
that my evening was spent communing with "spirits."

Who knows? Had I shown up, I might have added some excitement to the
festivities. I can see it now: me materializing to cries of "Eeeek! A
shoggoth!"

Oh well, next time. Hope y'all had fun.

BTW: My number is unlisted.

OK, John, here's a Kleenex. My number is unlisted, too. Oooh,
    cosmic!! ;-)

There were some conversations that definitely whetted my appetite
for more of the same. As a matter of fact, quite a few of us were
in favor of another gathering. We missed Mike Morgan. Getcha next
time, Mike. Looks like there will be more in the future; perhaps
on a somewhat regular basis. Jack, Alan, John and I had an
enlightening discussion on what is the ego, and what may be considered
"dangerous territory" as far as the sub/unconscious is concerned.
The conversation built and rolled; it was refreshing to get a few
viewpoints together and get some new angles to what had individually
been thought. It was sure nice to have those crystals around, too,
as well as the opals and other "oh, neato!" gems/minerals. The
waiter liked them, too. I think *he* deserves a round of applause!

I want to have a party! and I need input from the Rocky Mt.
contingent. I would like to invite people with an interest
in psychic phenomena, holistic health, and other related fields.

    Here is what I envision:

    	Good Food
    	Good Drinks
    	Fascinating Conversation
and a place to practice your skills

For the people who practice or are learning a psychic or holistic
art (tarot, astrology, reflexology) here would be the place
to improve your skill among empathic people. Also if you are
involved in other related persuits (drawing dragons, for example)
here would be the place to show them off.

One slight catch, the skills practiced would be done non-gratis.

I also would like to rent a few New Age videos and show those.
And have some New Age music! If you want to play for an audience
    	here's the chance.

    	Input I need:
    		1) Is there any interest in doing this?
    			if so
                2) What general time would be good, brunch, happy hour or
                    evening party?
                3) What date would work best? October at the CSC/CS
is going to be difficult to schedule with the awards
trips but how bout the either Oct 29 or 30? Would
November before the holidays work better?

Please let me know as I really would like to do this if there
        is any interest.
