431.0. "Looking for shops" by WAGON::DONHAM (Born again! And again, and again...) Fri Jul 31 1987 13:42

Can folks recommend occult bookshops in the Boston area? So far
the only one I've found is Arsenic and Old Lace in Cambridge; I
can't believe that it's the only one around. I'd like to find a
place that carries older works as well as current releases.

    Thanks!

    Perry

If you include Framingham, the House of Zodiac has a nice selection.

The Alchemist is great! I spent about two hours going through their
book selection. I wasn't all that impressed by the health food they
sold, though...I'll stick with Bread & Circus.

Thanks for all of the hints!

I don't know if it's too late but...

To get to Alchemist's from N.H., I would get on Rte. 495 south.
Get off at the Rte. 85 - Marlborough exit. It brings you back
over Rte. 495. Stay on the road to the end and take a left onto
Rte. 85 (99 Restaurant is on the corner on the right). Go pastBurger
King (on left) and the shopping plaza on your left. Alchemists
should be on the right just after a Cumberland Farms(?)/gas station
and before the Plymouth dealer (on left).

    Hope this helps.
