What I'd like for Christmas:

	Dear Santa,

It's been a while since I wrote to you, big Dude, but this
one's an important one. Yeah, yeah, I know I'm 32, and that
I'm not supposed to believe anymore, but wasn't it Bobby Kennedy
who said something like "Some see and say Why, I see and say
	Why Not?"....

Anyway, Santa, I, well, we, really kind of need your help.

See, Santa, the world is one pretty messed up place. I mean
aside from the fact of a madman in the Middle East creating
lots and lots of tension, and the fact that a lot of our
service people are over there in what my buddy in the
Cav calls the "World's Biggest Kitty Litter Box", there's a
ton of problems here at home.

See, there's a bunch of people who don't have enough to eat,
and many who don't have a place to sleep, or warm clothes to
	wear.

Now, Santa, I know you've got your hands full with all of your
toys and stuff to deliver, but while your out, do you think
you could bend the ears of some of the "haves" so that they
could maybe donate some stuff for the "have-nots".....

I mean, Santa, it wouldn't take much. Just a couple of extra
canned goods when shopping for Christmas dinner would help out
the local food bank, and hey, those old blankets in the house,
or old coats and shoes would help someone out if they were
just dropped into the Goodwill or Salvation Army box...

So Santa, that's what I'd like for Christmas. If you've got
a little room in that Sleigh of yours for a Christmas wish
for this 32 year old, how bout it.....

					Still believing,
					Chainsaw

Wishing all of you and yours a Merry, Merry Christmas, and please
remember those less fortunate....

Excellent note 'Saw. The misses and I are dropping off 3
big boxes of clothes tomorrow. Come on guys, go through
those closets/drawers and do a good deed for those less
fortunate. Beat the Christmas rush and do it tonight!

This is a disquieting time for me. It has nothing to do with any
holiday blues syndrome. It just that all my wishes for joy and
success go out to the all of the men and women of the Desert
Shield operation preparing for an invasion. At first it all
seemed rather impersonal to me. Then I got the word. The 1022nd
Medical Detachment (Helicopter Ambulance) of the Wyoming Army
National Gaurd has been activated. Cops, farmers, teachers, you
name it called into action and on the way. Believe me when I
say you can be reassured that they are there. I'll just be so much
more relieved when they all come back home.

    'Saw,
Replied in .21 before reading all the other notes. I think in .6 you
state to remember the less fortunate. This year the misses and me
decided to do something new, instead of buying each other bookoo bucks
worth of presents, we took the money we'd normally spend and gave it to
the Ladies of Charity at our church, who will use it to buy food and
presents for families who can't afford the proverbial pot to piss in
this Christmas. I figured that I'd had great Christmasses for 35
years, so somebody else who can't afford to deserves to have a great
    one this year.

Merry Christmas to all of ya,

    JaKe

Rumors are that it is the first white xmas here in 25+ years. It is
great watching all the kids sled and ski down the street. They are
loving the snow days (school was canceled from tuesday through new
years but they will be bumming when they are still in school in july.
