392.0. "So you want to be a football hero, part 2" by HOTSHT::SCHNEIDER (Voted for whatsisname...) Wed Oct 24 1990 16:48

    The leaves are crunching underfoot.

The clean crisp air stings the lungs yet leaves them refreshed and
    wanting more.

The cool green grass spreads in open field toward the end zone.

Yes, it's that time again; time to play some touch football on Saturday
mornings. Time to escape the lethargy of a Saturday afternoon of couch
potatoedom watching the refs hand Notre Dame another victory. Time to
escape the familial responsibilities of a visit to the mother-in-laws
house, or mending the fence, or doing the laundry.

It's time to sweat, get dirty, slam bodies, run the down-and-out.

Last year we played on the front lawn of the DEC Parker Street
facility in Maynard which is a nice soft field for the event.

So send me mail and/or reply to this note and I'll form a mailing
list if you think you want to play. It's more fun than watching two
straight hours of Saturday morning wrestling. I'd like to start this
Saturday, if we have enough guys.

    Hey Dan,

If the above means anything, seeing as how Midracingstripeinhisshorts
"showed up" at last years game, count on one less player.

I'm not sure if you want this in here, but I'll put it here anyways.

Do any other DEC facilities have flag-football teams??? Our local YMCA
has a league and we play on sunday afternoons. So far we are 7-0 with
one more regular season game remaining before the playoffs. It may be
for wimps, but it beats sitting in the house watching the tube and its
    fun also.

    Just curious!!!!!!!!!!!
