281.0. "Send Sean Some Mail to Cheer Him Up...." by CAM::WAY (Snakebit) Thu Jun 28 1990 10:31

I don't know how many of you remember Sean Strout, the dude
who noted in here but went back to school in late May.

Anyway, ol' Sean racked up his car lasted night, got a little banged
up in the process (he's okay, not in the hospital or anything), and
needless to say he sounds a little down in the dumps.

On top of that, the Moderators of the SPORTS conference out there
at RIT make Adolf Eichmann look like a Girl Scout leader. In fact,
I've never appreciated *our* mods so much as after listening to
Sean's stories....

ANYWAY, I'm sure it would cheer Sean up a little if you all just
dropped him a line. You can do that via E-mail, because he's
on the bitnet.

I'm not a real technoweenie when it comes to sending mail over
the bitnet, but this is what I did and how I reach him....

	1. I defined a logical name SEAN to equate to his
	   address

	   $ DEF SEAN "decpa::""sps1475@ritvax.bitnet"""

	2. Go into mail, and on the TO: line, put in SEAN.

I think he'd enjoy getting the mail, so let's see if we can't do
the SPORTS thing and shoot him some trons.

Thanks dudes and dudettes,
'Saw

   Thanks Frank,

   	I dropped him a line.
Always good to hear from a fellow juror.

Subj:	Dude.. cain you posted this sucker in *my* topic? tanks BABY!

SPORTS BABY'S!!! Tanks for all the notes of encouragement (yuo
know who yuo ARE AND YUP ARE TO BLAM BABY!) But I feel it
is necessary to enter my personal account of the most tragic
incident (minus all verbal Saw splashings, etc. 8^)

Anyways, so here it is. Uncut, unedited and right before my
        Differential Equations exam.

        So it's a nice rainy drizzling Friday, June 22, 1990, 5pm. I'm
strolling out of work wif my friend (key word is he's 21!) so
were going to pick up some, ummm... supplies. Anyways, it's
pouring like a bitch outside and I'm cruising down good ol
Jefferson. We stop by to get some dire cashitude and pick up
the first couple laps of the retelevised Indy 500 while waiting
in line at the bank (is someone telling me something here?).

So anyways, back into the reliable cavalier of power we go, unwary
of our pending doom (or actually I should say mine). We're
cruising down Jefferson and all of a sudden this massive babe comes
darting out into da street. Should I hit her or should I risk my
life, my car, and my SPORTS driving reputation and smash into
the yuppie Cherokee pulling out of Holiday Inn after happy hour.

Needless to say I chose the latter. Slammed that baby smack dab
into that yuppie praying dat da babe with the awesome set of
Titles and Acquisitions would notice... An hour later, after
getting to sit in a police car, filling out reports and trying
to find the babe that caused all this in the downpour I'm thinking
to myself... man, is this what fahrvergnugening is all about???

Anyways so I finally made contact wif da babe (she was giving
major ground to the yuppie dude I hit) and we strolled off for
a night of carved woodies and whiplash memories. (BABY!!!)

So anyways da morale of dis story is dat sometimes yuo have to
make severe sacrifices in order to score on some major titles
and acquisitions. I'm not sure if a trial will ensue wif dis
yuppie (probably JD's cousin's or somefin like dat) but I'm
sure that you over qualified SPORTS jurists, da's, prosecutors
        cain come to me rescue!!

Ok, so dat's the story. I'd hate to see this published in
National Enquirer wif one of you SPORTsters (or perhaps a
group) pictured below, smiling wif money in hand so yuo gotta
promise to keep dis baby INTERNAL!!!

I'm currently taking monetary contributions, sympathy (man,
one neck brace has managed to make my whole MONTH BABY!!!)
and anything else (yeah, tickets to NASCAR sporting events too).

So the nexted question is, who's gonna drive me to Saw's summer
bash a thon???? I'll bring the keystone baby and we can talk
about multiple fahrvergnugen's and what have yuo. JUSTED GIVE
ME DA WORD!! Thanks again dudes for all the notes/sympathy/
harrassment... this car accident justed wouldn't be the same wifout
yer input (so who's gonna send me da topic dedicated to me anyhow??).
I'm still scheduled to be back to DEC nexted summer car or not so
        BABY!!!!!

Take care BABY!! Live for TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        sean
