242.0. "The Official Frog Jumping Note" by GENRAL::WADE (Go Broons!) Mon May 21 1990 13:50

This past weekend, a normal-sized 'merican frog weighing
approximately 1 pound, overcame tremendous odds to win
the national Frog Jumping contest held somewhere in Georgia.
The competition the champion faced included the studly Giant
African Frog contestants which can weigh upwards of 10 pounds.

The winning jump measured 19' xx".

The trainer of the Giant African Frogs was heard to say after
the contest <in the immortal words of Arnold>, "I'll be back."

Apparently, some of the giant frogs could not compete due to
their bodies exceeding the boundaries of the launch pad.

Let's hear it for the good ole American frog whooping up on
them furrener frogs! <clap, clap, clap...>

    Clay,

that was teh Calveris County Frog Jumping Contest, and it was in
California. the African Frogs were brought by a doode from up
here Seattle way. Funny thang is, when he wanted to enter them,
the organizers wanted to ban them, but he fought it and they were
allowed to compete. I believe that record is 21' something.

Where's Dock? Gotta get him on the 'Merican Frog Bandwagon. I heard
him say that the California frogs have been his favorites and has
    been following them for years.

Besides, they're green and slimy and should be right up his alley.
