I'd like to wish a MERRY XMAS or whatever holiday you might celebrate
to all of you noters, even Doc Midnight who has no respect for me as a
    noter, or for Larry Bird.

So I hope you all have a great holiday. I'm heading to the Garden
State for some real food, traffic, pollution, and freezing cold
    weather...oh boy, I can't wait.

Oh, and the XMAS list I sent to Santa includes:

For /Don - an official JD blowup doll
    For Dan S. - A Bush/Quayle victory poster
For Dinz - a picture of Phil Simms' butt
For Doc 12am - Lifetime membership to Larry Bird fan club
For LeE - a free lunch at the Elks Club
For FrankWa - his own node to junk note on
    For Stevie_Boy - a 12x10 picture of Bruce May
For Al Cote - a winning FFL team
For Mr. T - a genuine copy of the NOTY award
For Frank Mendez - a 2-12 week in the pool note
For The NY Jets - a new head coach

    Happy Holidays everyone.

                                  Luke 2:1-20

And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar
Augustus that all the world should be registered. This census first
took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. And all went to be
registered, everyone to his own city.

And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into
Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was
of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his
betrothed wife, who was with child.

And so it was, that while they were there, the days were completed that
    she should be delivered.

And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling
cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in
    the inn.

And there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields,
keeping watch over their flock by night.

And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of
the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.

And the angel said to them,

"Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of
great joy which will be to all people.

For there is born to you this day in the city of David a
Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe
wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger."

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host
    praising God and saying:

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good wil
         toward men!"

And so it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven,
that the shepherds said to one another, "Let us now go to Bethlehem and
see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to
    us."

And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying
    in a manger.

And when they had seen it, they made widely known the saying which was
    told them concerning this Child.

And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told
    them by the shepherds.

But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart.

And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the
things that they had heard and seen, as it was told to them.

T'was the night before Christmas and all through the file,
not a noter was noting, they'd all gone mobile.
JoJ off to Jersey, JD back to Mass, and Chainsaw's back home,
   coveting Kellys' a__.

The Donks fans were nestled all snug in their beds,
with visions of Elway's teef, dancing in their head.
Mike JN, in his pickup off to a party where he'd host,
and Mr T was still doing his best Marley's ghost.

When in the computer room there arose such a clatter,
that Jeff Needle arose to find out what the heck was going on.
(uh, er, was the matter.)
He opened the door as the node started to crash,
and saw Mark Lufay standing there, somewhat abashed.

The computer had "antlers" tied on it's head,
and son of a gun ol' Mark'd shot it dead.
So Jeff called in Monty, Big Game and Hoot,
they'd have to get hold of Mark before he could scoot.
(Score Mark 1 Computers 0)

Meanwhile at the party in Marlboro the cheer was not teeny,
ol Hawk had just proclaimed he's no technoweenie.
As Slash-Don and Karen announced the great toast, it could
now be revealed that Dock Mid was really Johnny Most.

The Pope and the Bishop decided to stop in,
just to make sure that no one had sinned.
And over in the corner in his Christmas hat,
Doug Ross the Official Notes Statistician still sat
(and counted and counted and counted....)

And the finally the honored guest arrived,
no, not Tony Easy-on, this year it was Joe Walton.
When putting his finger inside of his nose,
a booger removed, then a great cheer arose.

And from California a telegram arrived,
Bruce May wanted to spread some California jive.
"MeRRie Chrissmusass" it said, it sure was no hype,
RCASO had transcribed it, god, can he type.

And so as the evening drew nigh to a close
The Chainsaw at the head table arose.
To all a good Christmas, you're all outta sight.
But I got a date with Kelly, so I bid you good night.

Merry Christmas everybody!!!! And a happy new year.

Due to inflation and rising costs, this year the 'Saw has to charge
for his Sober Rides for Drunk Drivers program. I hate to have to
do this, but cirumstances have dictated this.

So the fare schedule is as follows:

o For clients who have pretty teenage daughters, the
fare is a date with said daughter. Chainsaw SRDD(tm)
Inc, reserves the right to determine "pretty"

o For clients who are without benefit of pretty teenage
daughters, the fare is a date with an approved member
of the female of the species that the client can coerce.
	  (Note: no "professional" females allowed).

Hope this helps.

Okay, the Chainsaw put his poem in, but now it's time for some
SERIOUS Holiday thoughts....

First off, Happy/Merry {insert holiday here}....

Drink HARD, but DO NOT (repeat, and read my lips) DRIVE. Remember that
a brain dead noter isn't a noter at all.

Remember that the best presents to unwrap are the ones wrapped in lingerie.

Remember that SPORTS is just a microcosm of the world, so dump your extra
change in the Salvation Army bucket and help out a real person who can't
even imagine making what we make, let alone what Mark Langston makes.

Remember to party your ass off. You worked hard all year, you've got
a few days off, you get to see the looks on your kids faces when they
get what they asked Santa Claus for, so f_____-A bubba, enjoy it.

Remember the /Don Strip-A-Rama Road Show on 12/29. Be there, or be flaccid.

Have a Happy New Year. Rededicate yourself to being the very best that you
can be, both to yourself, and to others. Try and improve yourself over
the nexted year.

Don't forget, once a week, to look in the mirror and laugh at yourself.
That will keep you young, that will keep you from taking yourself too
seriously, and that will keep you receptive to other people, even if their
philosophies are different.

Watch out for Masturbating Zombies...they can mess up your day.

Finally, I hope that the most you ever ask for is the least you ever get.
