3735.0. "Hub Removal Tool" by NWD002::LEARNEDDE () Thu Apr 24 1997 04:33

    Hello,

I'm looking for a tool. This tool, referred to in the documentation as
simply a "Universal hub removal tool" is used on an M4 Data 9914
    Streamer (quad density - 800, 1600,, 3200, 6250). The hub is slightly
different from the TSV05 or TSZ07 drives; after all, this drive is made
in Germany! The manuals are in German and then in English (as a second
language). If anyone out there in DECland has heard of such a thing,
please send me a note. The device is simply a metal plate, about two by
three point five inches, quarter inch thick, it has three 'locater'
screws and one larger extractor screw. You loosen the hub clamp, apply
the removal tool, screw the extractor, and voila, the hub is off!
Anyway, I figured there must be a tool cache out there somewhere...
    Let me know,

    Thanks

The universal hub removal tool has a vendor part number of T 6037.
The vendor code for M4 Data is 244, perhaps logistics can order this.
If not, the vendor phone number is 407-639-6487. Their address is
    M4 DATA Inc.
    3815 N. US1, Bldg 118
    Cocoa, FL 32926.

I have the maintenance manual if you need the removal/replacement
    procedure faxed to you.
