112.0. "Problems running ksh scripts in csh" by TLE::TOMASSO () Fri Jan 24 1997 18:33
I've written some kshell scripts for our group, but most of the group runs csh
and they seem to be having serious problems getting the scripts to run.
I've run ksh scripts from csh before without difficulty, and can run the scripts
myself under a csh session, so I'm not sure exactly where the problem is
happening.
Some behavior I have documented is that the SHELL variable does not seem to be
changing, even though I have #!/bin/ksh as the first line of the scripts. The
SHELL variable doesn't change even if I run the script from the command line
with: /bin/ksh script_name.
Has anyone encountered similar problems or know of any rules about getting shell
scripts to behave the way they are supposed to behave under various
environments? Any help is greatly appreciated.
