    3 cats need to find a new home. My daughter wants to get ferrets but
    since we already have a rabbit, hampster, dog, 2 horses and the 3 cats
    something has to go before we add more to the family zoo and the cats
    were the family choice.
    
    The first is a 6 year old female registered Persian. "Midnight" is solid 
    black with yellow eyes. She has been spayed and declawed (front only) and 
    we have had her since she was a kitten.
    
    The second is a 4 year old male registered Himalayan. "Chip" is a Seal 
    Point (tan and dark brown) and has been neutered and declawed (front only).
    We have also had him since he was a kitten.
    
    The third is a 2 year old female Calico. "Reeses" has not been spayed
    and still has all her claws. She has also been with us since she was a
    kitten.
    
    All three get along well with each other (Chip and Midnight have been
    together the longest), not that they need to all go to the same family.
    Chip and Midnight tend to stay away from our dog who is relatively new
    to the family so it is the first dog they have seen. Reeses will play
    with the dog and even sleep with him (she was born in a house with
    dogs).
    
    If one or more of these cats interest you please give me a call. They
    are available for free if you promise to take good care of them (Chip
    and Midnight were originally bought for ~$250).
    
    They currently live in Winchendon if you would like to see them, or
    call me to arrange something else.

I am moving and can not take my dog with me.  I am trying to find her a good 
home.  Below is the note I have enterred into the CANINE notes file. 


Kaleda is a four year old black Lab and a perfect little lady.  I don't think 
she's pure as she has one white toe.  She is a graduate from puppy kindergarten
and obeys all commands.  She's a little guy-shy, but if any person (man, woman,
or child) will throw a ball for her, that person becomes a friend for life.  
Fetching balls is a passion of hers.  In fact, "ball" was one of the first 
commands that she learned.  She loves the company of her family.   She gets on
well with other animals.  She has even  been known to lay next to her bed 
instead of evicting the cat!  Her name is derived from the Lithuanian word for 
Christmas.  The one thing that Kaleda does not do well is travel.  She's fine if
she sits in the front seat, but put her in the back of a station wagon, and you
can be sure there'll be a mess to clean up.  Kaleda is approximately 45 lbs. and
is spayed.  All shots except rabies are up to date.  I just got the notification
that here rabies booster is due.  This will be done prior to her changing hands.



Dog items that come with Kaleda, bed, dishes, leash, tennis ball, cookies, 
and, if you want it, the dog house.

         1 1/2 year old red mini-poodle, AKC papers, neutered,
         house and crate trained.  This poodle is very handsome, calm,
         intelligent, obedient and affectionate.  He is also quite
         athletic, loves to chase balls and play but will calm down
         as soon as his owner stops playing.  All his shots are
         up to date for the year.  He weighs 15 lbs.
    
         With unhappiness I have to give him up because he occasionally
         does not deal well with the other two male dogs in the house.
         He is good with children.  He should not go into a house with
         other male dogs, however, female dogs and other pets are ok.  He 
         would be fine as the only pet, poodles are very people-oriented.
    
         Poodles need grooming every 4-6 weeks. I would be happy to
         give the new owner the electric clipping shears that I use
         for this dog.  You can also bring him to a groomer.  Right
         now his fur is cut to the same short length all over and the
         cut is quite nice.

                        Lesser Sulphur Crested Cockatoo

   Eli is 20 month old, hand-fed, DNA sexed male, white cockatoo with a
   beautiful yellow crest.

       - He's just beginning to talk--He says, "Hi" "Hello guys" and
       "kisses." 

       - He's on a diet of pellets, seeds, nuts (walnuts are #1 in his
       book), fruit, vegetables and his favorite french fries!  

       - While he can be shy at first, he likes to sit with you while you
       watch TV, or  hop around on the floor while you offer him toys to play
       with, or sit on the perch in the kitchen while you prepare a meal.  

       - He steps up and down on command and is learning to "come here."     

       - When in his cage, he loves to swing, chew wood, untie knots in
       rope, unscrew bolts and wing-nuts, and figure out how to get peanuts
       out of a puzzle toy.  

       - His call is typical for a cockatoo--loud.  If he's too noisy a
       little "time out" with a cover over his cage usually quiets him.  

       - Eli will make a wonderful companion bird for the right people. 


   Pet stores charge about $1400.00 for birds like Eli, and $600.00 for the
   cage.  We're asking  $1200 for Eli, his favorite toys, some of his
   favorite food, a beautiful Neon brand cage, and a book about cockatoos.
