2161.8140 lb rottie makes stairs steep!MAIL1::KOSTARASFri Jan 24 1997 19:1220
    My Rottie (Bruce) had the surgery on this right knee. The vet was sure
    whatit was, but sent us to a surgeon to confirm the diagnosis. All the
    surgeon did was hold his knee (The dog's not his) and move the lower
    leg. The excess movement was evident. Bruce didn't seem to mind the
    checkout.

    Surgery was performed, and was sucessful. Bruce would stand at the
    bottom of the stairs and cry. I had to go down stairs and carry him up
    to bed (he slept between my wife and myself).

    Although the surgery was succesful, Bruce contracted Addisions, which
    got bad enough where I had to put him down (note 1940).

    My surgeon charged $850.00, and by the time the addisions took its
    toll, I had over $5K in bills.

    Hope your stairs aren't too steep!
