	HI!

	One of our customers would like to know whether the VAX COBOL V5.4 is
fully compatable with OPENVMS V7.1. Upon my understanding, no problems
expected, since OPENVMS V7.1 on VAX brings relatively small set of new features
comparing to OPENVMS V7.1 on ALPHA. However, to check never bothers.

    There are just two known issues that we are aware of at this time with
    using VAX COBOL V5.4 with OpenVMS VAX V7.1.
    
    One issue involves DEBUG (see note 3165) and one issue involves a
    restriction in updating the LSE templates from the VAX COBOL
    installation procedure (see note 3236).
    
    We are continuing to test VAX COBOL V5.4 with OpenVMS VAX V7.1, and we
    expect probably next month to be able to officially update the list of
    supported OpenVMS VAX versions for VAX COBOL V5.4 to include OpenVMS
    VAX V7.1:
