| What a way to spend a beautiful Sunday!
My Dakota left rear wheel has been hot and dragging. I noticed an
accumulation of crud on the backing plate. Something was definitely
leaking and I expected it to be the brake wheel cylinder.
As I got to it yesterday, the smell was definitely that of gear oil.
I replaced the axle oil seal. Put the brakes back on, ran the vehicle
up on jack stands to check for more leaks. No more gear oil leaking
but now the brake cylinder started to leak brake fluid.
Bought a rebuild kit today and hope to get that on tonite.
