        Wow.  No replies in the RX-7 note for 1.5 years?  Does anyone have a
        3rd-gen RX-7 (93,94 or 95) that they'd like to comment on? Apparently,
        they have a really bad rap for simple things like catching on fire,
        paint chipping, having to replace the turbos 3 or four times.... You
        know, little things.  Check out

    I have a 93 RX7.  I haven't had any problems so far but I only have
    20,000 miles or so on the car.
    
    I did take the car in for a recall for the fuel delivery lines and
    fan turn on/off.  This corrected a problem were to intense engine
    compartment heat (after engine turn-off) was degrading the fuel lines
    and allowing them to rupture after a few years.
    
    Paint does chip but for a car that is only a few inches of the road
    thats part of life.
    
    The turbo problem is new to me, could be a problem with quality of
    oil, engine compartment heat, and lack of mechanical systems sense.
    I maintain good oil quality, drive easy last two/three miles of a
    drive even if it means driving a few miles to give the car time to
    cool down.
    
    If you want a race car for the street a 3rd-gen RX7 is a nice car.
