3089.0. "OFTP problems after VMS upgrade" by UTRTSC::SMEETS (Workgroup support) Mon Apr 07 1997 19:15

Hi,

Don't shoot me .... Yes, I know it's old.....

Customer running DEC/EDI V1.2 on VAX VMS V5.5-2 performed a VMS upgrade
to V6.2 during the weekend.

Now suddenly the incoming messages from OFTP are stucked at status RECEIVING

In DECEDI$ERROR log

%DECEDI-E-NOCLFUPDT, unable to update CLF record
-DECEDI-I-OFTPCHAN, OFTP channel = 1
-DECEDI-I-OFTPSTATE, OFTP state = OPI
-DECEDI-I-EPARTNSER, connection id = RI2001
-DECEDI-I-TFILENAME, transmission file : DECEDI$STORE_2:07APR199715583602_RI200`
-SYSTEM-F-NODOMAIN, resource domain not found
-DECEDI-I-CONDLOGGED, condition logged by DECEDI$OFTP on node NHNVX1:: at 7-AP`

%DECEDI-E-NOCHANCLEAN, unable to cleanup channel
-DECEDI-I-OFTPCHAN, OFTP channel = 1
-DECEDI-I-OFTPSTATE, OFTP state = UNKNOWN
-DECEDI-I-EPARTNSER, connection id = RI2001
-DECEDI-I-CONDLOGGED, condition logged by DECEDI$OFTP on node NHNVX1:: at 7-AP`

Anybody has an idea on this one or is there a EDI ECO patch which could solve
this problem ?

Thanks,

Martin

I'm not familiar with this error message. It's not a
DEC/EDI one. It could be from X.25 (PSI) or from
    DECEDI$$GEN_UNLOCK_RESOURCE.

Are you getting any files that are partially received?

Does this happen with every incoming file or is it
    random?

    Did they upgrade X.25 too?

Hi David,

>> Are you getting any files that are partially received?

What do you mean exactly ?

>> Does this happen with every incoming file or is it
>> random?

Yes, It happens for every incoming OFTP message.

>> Did they upgrade X.25 too?

Yes

Could it be that this is the problem as described in 1379.

Hi David,

I've seen in 1379 that problem probly was fixed in V1.2ECO4. Can you or
someone else give me a pointer to this ECO ?

Thanks,

Martin
