Would anybody like to buy a ticket (or 13) to the Patriots Day
    baseball game at Fenway Park?

I understand that Hawk's taking reservations for those tickets which
will be lost! Rumor is they will be sold at a discount!

Interested buyers should send mail to Mac indicating their quantity
(that's #'s for engineers) and then (if not prior to sending that
message) send the money to me!

    I remain,

I beleive they got beaten by Clarkson in the ECACs, but they were a
controversial omission from the tournament.

Yeah, lost out to Clarkson in the semi's and Harvard in the
consolation game. Sigh... I was ready to go to the Centrum too...

25.7GOMETS::mccarthyMike McCarthy MRO4-3/C19 297-4531Thu Mar 25 1993 18:237
Correct - RPI lost to Clarkson in the semifinal and then to
Harvard in the finals.

If Brown hadn't made it to the finals, I think RPI would
have made it to the NCAA's.

The reason that I'm not going to be able to attend is that Evil Gal is
playing that Night at the House Of Blues. For ya'll that don't know,
Evil Gal won this year's Boston Battle Of The Blues Bands at Harper's
Ferry. They then went down and won the national event for unsigned
bands at the WC Handy awards in Memphis. They're fronted by a lady
named Michelles Willis who hjas a *huge* voice and they play a lot
of Bessie Smith, Dinah Washington, Big Mama Thornton, etc. I had a
chance to talk to her at the WGBH Blues Crawl and she's reall sweet.
The rest of the band is almost an all-star band of Boston sidemen and
are incredibly tight and talented. Definitely worth checking out.

For all games except the Argentina game. With prices ranging from $45 to $150

This guy was the very same loser that crashed the playoffs at Fenway a
few years back, got booted out for refusing to take his hat off so that
people behind him could see, then put the ACLU (I'm not kidding) on the
Red Sox' trail for violation of his free speech rights. I asked him
about it yesterday and he seemed very reluctant to talk about it,
mumbling something about receiving an apology from the Sox. A pure
exhibitionist, nothing more. The sad part of it was that he had a
bunch of these German photographers and the like taking his picture,
with one guy saying something about him being seen around the world.
    What suckers.

People like that make me want to violate their civil rights, as well
as their right to breathe.

I mean, it sounds like he's a candidate for Tommy's "Get a Life" program....

The sad part is that the picture of this dork will appear around the world,
further degrading the image that most other folks in the world have of

That $60 does sound like face value. Laugh though you may,
the Pats are becoming the hottest sports ticket in town. Bill
Parcells has that winners rep and folks are falling all over
themselves to jump on Coach Bill's bandwagon. At last check,
the first five home games are sold out. I know that for you
Denver folks that draws a big yawn because you sell out every
game but around here that's damn near amazing. The rest of the
games figure to sell out too with the possible exception of the
final game against the Colts but if the Pats are in the hunt (a
mighty *BIG* if) then that one should sell out too. I don't think
the Pats have ever sold out an entire season.

Yes, the folks who follow the Bills are not really New Yorkers. That's

Redskins sell out every game; there is a waiting list that stretches for
a decade or so to get a season ticket. Season tickets are part of divorce
settlements in Washington. That being said the Redskins are BADDDDD this
year, but the 49ers draw very very well everywhere. Your best bet is to
call one of the ticket agencies and see if they have any tickets for
that game.

Personally, I wouldn't hold my breath on getting tickets unless someone is
willing to pay some big bucks.

Their opening act sucked the big one -- some band called Rusted Root. They
were Rusted alright.

The Allmans were good too -- and they played for almost three hours straight
which was certainly our money's worth....

btw, if you go the Meadows in Hartford, here's what to expect.....

If you have a ticket, you can park in the lot on site -- the first 500 cars
can do that.

There's shuttle buses from some areas, and other parking lots nearby.

Stuff inside is expensive -- 16oz beer $4.50. B&J Cherry Garcia bar, $2.50,
small soda $2.50.....

Security is pretty tight for the indoor seats so don't lose your ticket stub.

Other than that it is a Great Woods clone except that GW has a bit more
lawn I think......

I have 2 tickets for the Celtics Vs. Lakers on Wednesday January 24th at
the new Fleet Center. I don't remember the exact seats, but I think it's
section 320. I just want to get what I paid for them, which is the
$29/ticket price that is on the tickets.

I live in Fitchburg and work in Littleton, also can arrange for pickup
in Hudson MA area if necessary.

If interested, contact me at DTN 226-2220 or via VAXmail at
IAGO::PROVENCAL.

Cheri, I can't use it, but I would like to know more about the Sports
Museum for future reference (maybe Spring 1997).

What with the various Halls of Fame glomming onto the good stuff,
what is left for a generic?

I think that's the "Boston" Sports Museum. It's got a lot of
stuff no one else would want, like ex-Pats' GM Upton Bell's
    toupee, etc.

Well, just because you're a Bobby Orr fan, you might want to see
it. Never been myself, but seriously, for a regional sports
museum, it's supposed to be very good...

25.142Same deal here...EDWIN::WAUGAMANPride of SteelThu Mar 14 1996 15:3924
For many (maybe half) of the Sox' weekend games this year, both
Saturdays and Sundays, on short notice (as little as a week) I'll
be looking to move one, or both, pairs of my bleacher seats (decent
ones: Section 35, Row 5). I'd like to set up a mailing list for
those who might be interested in picking up a game or two along
the way. Given the circumstances of that short notice, uncommitted
arrangement (I don't know how many, or which, games will be available),
I wouldn't ask for the full price of the tickets, but might be
persuaded to accept a charitable contribution of, say, $6/ticket
(one-third off), to offset my expenses at the concessions for the
    games I do go. ;-)

Basically, I'd rather move these tickets than have them go unused,
as some did last season. I'd try and broadcast a message to their
availability on a Monday or Tuesday before the weekend games, and
make it first-come, first-serve on the response.

If interested, send me mail at EDWIN::WAUGAMAN, and I'll put you
    on the list.

Due to an unforseen circumstance, I have TWO extra tickets to next Monday's
Patriots Day game at Fenway Park. Basically, my brother and sister-in-law were
both unable to get out of work for that day. Something about the OR being
shorthanded and their timeoff request, formerly approved, now rescinded.

So, here's the deal. I have two tickets for $9 per.

You can e-mail me at CAM::WAY. First come, first served. You'll owe me $18,
due and payable that day, at the Rat or at the game.

    	Hi,
I'm looking for two tickets to either one of the two
games the Indians play agains the Red Sox next month. I believe
they are the Tuesday and Wednesday games in the last full week
of June. I want good box, either upper or lower...I would rather
have upper box though. Never seen a game from up there. I always
loved the upper boxes at the old Cleveland Waterfront Stadium.

    	Any help is appreciated!

    		Thanks,
