Under some circumstances it is possible for CDA to be installed on an
OpenVMS system without there being a valid license for it to run against.
This situation may occur in CDA$ACCESS V1.7 or V1.8 if licenses for
DW-MOTIF and CDA-RT are not loaded on the system. Installing Converter
Library V2.2 (which includes CDA$ACCESS V1.7) on a non-Motif system is a
likely cause.
A version of CDA$ACCESS.EXE for both VAX and Alpha (X1.8, 12 March 1997) is
available which has license checking disabled. If a customer has this
problem you should do the following:
1. Use Analyse/Image to confirm that the installed CDA$ACCESS.EXE is V1.7
or V1.8. If it is not then it's likely this is not your problem.
2. Copy the appropriate CDA$ACCESS.EXE from
Directory HNGOVR::CDAP$:[CDA_KITS.CDA$ACCESS]
CDA$ACCESS.EXE_AXP;1 CDA$ACCESS.EXE_VAX;1
3. Replace the existing CDA$ACCESS.EXE with the new one (renamed).
4. Check correct behaviour of CDA
