   Hi,

      I have a customer who want to migrate his RDB(4.1) databases ( 17 )
      to SYBYSE(11) on his VMS System.He have around 1600 tables and he 
      want an estimation on the cost of the migration.

      His application is mostly composed of embedded SQL in COBOL files
      (1000) , some  embedded RDO files ( 100 ) and RDO/SQL statements
      in COM files for the production system ( Backup,temporary
      tables/index creation ... )

      I would like to know if there is someone who have got experience
      moving RDB to SYBASE, if there are tools to help the migrations,
      what are the main differences between the two databases.

      I have knowledge on RDB and other databases ( Like SQL server ,
      Informix ) but none about SYBASE and no documentation at all.

      So , any advise/informations/pointers will be very appreciated
