I had to go over to the smith to pick up a .22 I had him work on.
Conversation got around to I am considering a Shilo Sharps. He
said you will have to wait about 5 yr on the waiting list. He had
a bullet from a guy here in town that has one and dug it out.
3 inches by 1/2 inch--youza. He also has a .378 cartridge reamer
and showed me some bullets from some wildcats he has made. 7mm/.378
.30/.378 and .338/.378. The brass on those things must be a good
5/8 in. thick--talk about the need for speed (and asprin).

| A bullet that's 3"x1/2" would have a heck of a sectional density, not
to mention a great BC.
5/8" thick brass?? WOW! I've seen some pretty big cannon shells, and
the walls weren't 5/8" thick. Must be some serious chamber pressure
behind those bullets.
