2620.0. "Dbkey definition in Alpha" by itvms1.it.oracle.com::MRESNATI () Tue Apr 15 1997 09:45

    Hi,

    Vax environment: Ovms 5.5-2H4
                      COBOL 4.2
                      DBMS 4.1

    Alpha environment: Ovms 6.2-1h3
                       COBOL 2.2
                       DBMS 6.1

Customer said me that in Vax environment DBkey is in the format
LL:PP:AA while in Alpha environment DBkey format is AA:LL:PP.
    Is it correct????
I'm sorry but I haven't a Alpha machine with DBMS to test it.
He has a lot of programs in Cobol and P/L1 that reference physically
dbkeys and now in Alpha these programs abort.

    Thanks in advance,

    Massimo

Maybe Brenda has had too much maple syrup lately. ;-) Of course it
    was just a slip.

Yes, Liz is correct: Area:Page:Line (word:longword:word)

Actually, its a problem with not *enough* maple syrup. I keep giving it
all away to persons who shall remain un-named. And yes, it was a
    pre-caffeine slip :)

I'll confess, Brenda keeps bringing me the syrup. And I love it, and I'm
out of it...do you need to come down for some more training?

:-).
