2600.0. "Formats of available DBMS documentation ?" by NOMAHS::SECRIST (Rdb WWS; rsecrist@us.oracle.com) Wed Feb 19 1997 18:27

    	How soon will the DBMS documentation be available in Adobe
    	Acrobat (PDF) format ? Are there any copies of the DBMS
    	V6.* documentation available in text format ('.LINE) or
    	could they be made available ? Will there be a "client
    	CD" for DBMS similar to the one available for Rdb7 ?

    	Apparently the DBMS docs were last generated in text
    	at V4.3 if the WEORG:: archives reflect the current state
    	of the available documentatio (unless there is a technical
    	reason they weren't produced as '.LINE I would be happy to
    	generate them myself).

    	Regards,
    	rcs

They're usually in .TXT format, not .LINE (at least the newer versions :)

2600.2Multiple online sources of DBMS documentation ?NOMAHS::SECRISTRdb WWS; rsecrist@us.oracle.comFri Feb 21 1997 13:1212

        ; versions :)

    Is there another repository of DBMS documentation on the internal
    net I don't know about other than weorg""::dbmsdoc$public:[*...] ?
    The most recent '.TXT (or '.LINE) that is there is for V4.3, and
    everything else is in '.PS only.

    Thanks,
