3201.0. "Incoming x25 calls cleared, outgoing work" by ROM01::COMETTO (La gloria di Colui che tutto move...) Fri May 23 1997 15:09

    Hi,

    I am experiencing a quite strange problem with a MAILBUS 400 MTA V2.0
    on an AXP OpenVMS 6.2 System.

    After having setup a CONS configuration I succeded in sending message
    to peer MTA's but non in receiving.

    The strange behavior is that I don't get any event from the event
    dispatcher.

    Tracing X25 at L3 level I see only a CALL REQUEST and immediatly a CALL
    ClEAR followed by a CLEAR CONFIRMATION.

    The calling DTE and called dte appear to be both correct:
    CALLED DTE=26300391 (mine)
    CALLING DTE=02328100305
    CALL DATA = 03010100

    The x25 access filter and template names match ("OSI Transport")

    The x25 access filter "OSI Transport" is in use an the listener is OSI
    Transport

    The OSI transport parameter CONS filter is set to OSI Transport.

    The OSI transport parameter CONS NSAP ADDRESS is set to
    /5211022226300391.

    No incoming counter at any level is incremented after the x25 calls.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks

3201.1create your own filterIJSAPL::DEWIJKGJ from the DutchlandsFri May 23 1997 16:279
    hi,

    I never got the default filters working correctly.
    my advice is to create your own cons filter with a higher priority than
    1.
    attach this filter to the osi transport layer and it will probably
    work.

    Not really,

    filtername, priority, call data, dte class. That's all I believe

3201.4Now Working, but ....ROM01::COMETTOLa gloria di Colui che tutto move...Tue May 27 1997 15:4414

    Hi,

    first of all thanks to GJ, now all's working.

    But I should note that if the default filters do not work it should be
    outlined somewhere (In the Release Notes perhaps ?) and also the
    problem should be fixed (Next realease perhaps ?).

    Having not imagine this I lose several days effort at customer site
    reviewing my configuration both x400 and x25. I can't be happy of this.
