And if GMT is used as MR time, then what should Mrnet_time_offset be?

To try and isolate whether or not it's the "other customer" or my
customer that has things set wrong, could someone who knows their
system is setup correctly please send me a test message and include in
the test message the time when it was sent in GMT format so I can
compare it to the message headers when I receive it?

        or
        	G=VELI; S=KORKKO; P=DIGITAL; A=ELISA; C=FI

If I undertand things correctly, you should MRNET... and GMT...
        same.

3163.7The results of some testsSNOFS1::JOYCEJENNYStill crazy after all these yearsMon Feb 17 1997 06:1188
Veli and I have been sending each other mails to try and test the time
    stamp problem.

All looks ok when he sends me a message, but when I send one to him the
message header looks strange. (the message body looks fine). The
    message body and header follows

                      I N T E R O F F I C E M E M O R A N D U M

Where on earth is the received time of 05:55 coming from?

My message router time offset is -11:00, my ALL-IN-1 time offset is
+11:00, and in MRX my mt_time_offset is 0 (since my Message Router time
is effectively GMT) and my Mrnet_time_offset is also 0.

Is one of my settings incorrect?

3163.8could you try setting MRX level time offsets to -660VELI::KORKKOTue Feb 18 1997 21:4625
        My settings are (during wintertime!)

MR: MS level time offset -02:00
        	ALL-IN-1 +02:00

        	MRX: MR... -120
        	     GMT... -120

        Accordignly, your settings should be

        	MR: (MS) -11:00
        	ALL-IN-1 +11:00
        	MRX: MR... -660
        	MRX: GMT... -660

If your MR MS time offse is -11:00, then MRX MR... must be -660.
And MRX GMT must anyway be -660 no matter what is MR time.

Maybe the 05:55 was the local time the message was actually
received on my system. Remember that the message travelled via a
number of xternal X.400 AMDMs and those links are probably VERY
slow (but not slower than I internal messaging network today
        :-))

(unless anyone else has any comments in the meantime)
