| time to update this, although I don't remember where I did last time.
I get nothing out of this beyond my own vegetszbles and less work on
week control in unrented plots:
For Colorado Springs area gardeners.
Bear Creek Community Gardens has plots available to rent this season.
We officially open (weather permitting on Saturday, but it will be some
time before the water will be on full-time (most likely the following
week) and more time before tender plants can be set out. The Location
is near the penrose stadium and stables in Bear Creek park, close to
the county parks building.
Full plots are approximately 20x40 feet and rent for 45 dollars/year +
key and badge fees.
1/2 plots are also available.
These are pesticide free gardens, mostly grown organically with some
people using miricle grow at times through the season. The area has
been gardened for over a century. Contact me, or Better Char Nymann
473-5827 for more information and registration forms.
If you are intereseted and have limited space for growing vegetables
this is a great way to grow, as well as learn from other Colorado
gardeners.
