241.0. "Stick a fork in it" by WRKSYS::WALLACE (Nobody's Perfect) Mon Nov 25 1996 16:33

For the 5 or 6 of us still (somewhat) active.....

Can we pin the demise of Mudville on:

1: Muds running their course after 6 years?

    2: Layoffs?

3: Getting sick of poking Demetra?

    4: All brits on holiday?

5: Getting sick of poking Puck?

    6: Fido's marriage?

    7: General corporate malaise?

    8: Atlchav's lack of leadership?

    9: not enough canadians?

    10:Getting sick of poking Demetra?

    	makka,
first let's clear up some misunderstandings....
you're a complete and utter idiot with no self
control whatsoever... take for instance, your
    	`casual' association with boney...casual, yeah
right... the man relocated to be nearer to you!?!?
    	splain that one!?!?
there are more, but i'm rather tired... you know,
all that poking, makes a body tired after awhile.

My casual association with Bonie has not led, up to this point, to the
insertion of his screwdriver into my toolbox.

The fact that I may be an idiot with no self control does not belay the
fact that you, on the other hand, are Ms. Snap-on for the 90's.

Makka ? Makka, is that you ?

I still find it amazing how the fingers of a long brain-dead
patient manage to continue typing such blathering nonsense.
I can only attribute this phenomenon to involuntary twitches
caused by a lifetime devoted solely to typing worthless,
senseless blather.

241.5is there a calendar for that?ALFAXP::S_SOVEREIGN...the wizard's first rule...Tue Nov 26 1996 01:019
Re: 2...

Is there a calendar, suitable for hanging at my mechanic's shop? His 1992
swimsuit edition calendar is all messed up from marking out and rearranging
the dates...

Please mail a copy to them at:

Group vitality is a function of recruitment pure and simple. The universe is
built such that things run down (i.e. they evolve dynamically to maximum
entrophy). A successful recruitment renews the group, validating the
existence of the group and the participation of individuals. A failed
recruitment is an opportunity to understand shortcomings of the group and
potentially make improvements.

Jaysus Christ!! The guy spends a little time over at BU and suddenly
 he's spouting psychobabble.

In any event. Mudville isn't a game anymore, it's just a big, fancy
chat room. Personally, I'm generally too busy to be able to sit at a
terminal long enough to spend any meaningful time in the game. And frankly,
it takes a little bit of time to really irritate and piss-off people.

The game has nearly run its course. But much like "Married with Children",
 it just won't go away.

from what you told me of the days gone by, tran, i think
it's just another incarnation of the old mud.

the game's the same, the players change.
