212.32Online banking/bill paying?DECWET::THOMASBug-for-bug compatible with IntelSun Apr 20 1997 12:2522
Re-opening this 3 year old can of worms and adding some new technology.

Does anyone have comments on any of the local banks that offer online
banking and online bill-paying? I'm particularly interested in horror
stories of homes being repossessed due to payments not being made, so
feel free to email me if you're uncomfortable posting it here.

Microsoft's Money Zone lists US Bank and First Technology CU (total of
one branch in Washington) as providers of online banking and
bill-paying through MS Money in Washington. Wells Fargo also claims to
have it (perhaps MS hasn't updated their database).

No minimum balance with direct deposit would be good too.

I'm about to run out of Quicken checks for my SeaLast account. I've not
been too happy with their insistence that a phone call to their
automated account balances/transfers system is a service call, and
therefore limited to 4 per month without charge. Their online banking
isn't integrated with Quicken or MS Money as far as I can tell. And
    their online bill-paying is nonexistent.

    Thanks ... Mike

I was looking for banks that had on-line banking in this area. I
checked out SeaFirst (which actually is a part of BankAmerica).
BankAmerica provides on-line banking only if you have an account
in California (so much for that). I sent mail to SeaFirst asking them
when they will have it operational in Seattle. I haven't heard yet.

Not surprising that First Technology CU is supported, since it's
the Microsoft employees CU. The branch is near the Bellevue REI.
