1052.0. "sizeof( long double )" by SIOG::BATEMAN (We are all DECservers) Mon May 26 1997 12:13

The Alpha porting guide indicates that a long double is 10 bytes on x86
and 8 bytes on Alpha (all other data types identical). However if I try
sizeof(long double) on x86 the result is 8 bytes.
Is this reference in the Alpha porting guide an indication of the
internal floating point registers in the x86?

    Thanks,
    Alan
