| Is there anyone out there that has a copy of Guadalcanal Diary's
"Watusi Rodeo" EP from 1983 ? I would like to hear the song "John
Wayne" at least one more time in my life.
(The "Watusi Rodeo" EP does not actually have the song "Watusi Rodeo"
on it, that was on the 1984 LP, "Walking in the Shadow of the Big Man")
(What the hell is this ? In 1983 I moved to Raleigh, NC, and heard
this song on the radio once and never again. And I never heard it even
mentioned again. It sounds something like "I wish I killed John Wayne"
set to the music of "(I'm not your) Stepping Stone". Yeah. And,
through the web, I just came across a Guadalcanal Diary Discography
that confirmed that indeed, my memory of the artist was right).
(While we're at it, in 1979 I heard Bob Dylan's "Walking John Birch
Society Blues" and I've never heard that one again, either - anyone got
it ? It's another checkoff before checkout. Along with great-grandkids.)
(Parenthetically yours,)

I'm pretty sure this is included in the Dylan "Bootleg Series 1-3" box
(or "Biograph", or "Masterpieces", or something sold in retail stores).
If not, or if you (unaccountably) don't want to throw money after that
very worthwhile box... I have it on a scratchy LP, and also it's popped
up on various "import" CDs that Dylanophiles would know about... - Jay
