5934.0. "Numeric Keypad and arrows moving the cursor" by VAXRIO::CONT_RENATO (R.Mendes@CIMsolutions Brasil) Tue Mar 04 1997 12:26

This must be very basic, but here I go...

How can I, using VXT's and OpenVMS, can easily toggle between
the NumericKeypad and AppKeypad ? Also, I know that using
SHIFT+CTRL+F3 makes the arrow moves the pointer, but am I
able to change the speed of the moving pointer ?

TO finish, how may I set up the VXT to boot having the
numeric keypad and making the arrows moving the cursor by default.

    Thanks in advance.

You can use the SET TERMINAL/APPLICATION_KEYPAD and SET TERMINAL/NUMERIC_KEYPAD
commands from DCL. I'm not sure about the VXT, but in OpenVMS DECterm you
can also control this in the General Options dialog box.

I don't think you can customize this on an OpenVMS workstation. I'm not
sure about the VXT.

I thought this was the default. Make sure you've selected Numeric Keypad
in the General Options dialog box (assuming this option exists on the VXT)
and change it and do a Save Options if it isn't set correctly. You might
also need to add a SET TERMINAL/NUMERIC_KEYPAD to your LOGIN.COM.

I don't know how you can make that the default.
