484.1Too custom to tell...CSC32::POLAR::ROBINSONPByte meFri Mar 14 1997 11:318

    Not much help, but a bike with this many modifications has long lost
    any connection to any market value or guidelines. Even the WantAds
    probably do not have anything similar in them.

    From then on its what you and the seller agree on...

    If its really a 61 Bonnie motor - "pre-unit" , the motor itself is
    worth a few hundred bucks. As for the rest of the er ..."stuff",
    well lets say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

    BTW, a stock, correct 61 Bonnie in excellent shape is probably worth in
    the range $6-8k.

484.3CSC32::TMAWKO::BELLAMYWhat fresh hell is this?Fri Mar 21 1997 15:187
    I see older Triumph choppers sell for anywhere from $500 to about
    $2500. I see them advertised for over $3000 sometimes, and when I call,
    the owner always still has it (meaning, it didn't sell at that price).
    I don't know about the rest of the USA - I live in NC. I've been
    shopping, albeit somewhat half heartedly, for an old Triumph chopper,
    because that is the first bike I ever road. I thought all motorcycles
    handled like that for a couple of years!
484.4Its Pergatory, almost hell!CSC32::PCBUOA::KALLIOAMon Mar 24 1997 11:387

    I have seen some choppers advertised in the Want Advertiser here in NE.
    I can't remember the price range but the thing I did notice, they
    stayed in the Advertiser for a long time. I don't think they get sold
    very quickly.
