    In case anyone else has considered installing the Primo Brute III 
    belt-drive primary and dry-clutch kit I thought I would relay my
    experience.
    
    First, it's an extremely well made system. Every part is top quality.
    The clutch has twice the surface area of the stock unit and operates
    smoothly.
    
    Second, it's was not a "bolt-on" operation on my 89' FXRS. I had to
    grind off about a 1/16" on some of the casting ribs on the outer
    primary cover as the from pully was rubbing slightly. I had to grind
    off abount an 1/8" off the inner primary casting ribs behind the clutch 
    otherwise the belt would have rubbed on them.
    
    Third, how well does it work? Extremely well! You do notice some noise due
    to the lack of primary fluid. However, the lack of that fluid also gives
    you some power back since your primary drive is no longer swimming in
    it!! The compensating sprocket is eliminated and you notice that when
    you shift plus there's a bit more vibration at low speeds.
    
    Lastly, no more leaking primary!!!!!! I never have to frig with that 
    %$@#! primary fluid again!!!!!! It was expensive but worth it. The kit
    lists for $675 but I got 10% off through J&P Cycles mail-order catalog
    by joining their "Gold Club".
