2239.0. "VAX/Alpha Delta time Library ECO impact on SLS/MDMS" by CX3PST::WSC217::SWANK (David) Fri Apr 11 1997 13:19

Have the VAXLIBR06_070 and ALPLIBR05_070 Delta Time ECOs been test with
SLS/MDMS? Because Cusomters are haveing to apply it to avoid the May 19,
1997 cut off date when then Unix Epoch + 9999 days hits they are asking
if their Layered products will be affected.

	Hi,

I work for the french CSC and a lot of our customer is asking us :

	- if SLS is impacted by the OpenVMS delta time limit
	- if we need to reinstall SLS after the patch installation

I would like to have feedbacks from users that installed the patch with or
without troubles with SLS after that

Maria.

Hello from Reading in the U.K. .

Yes we have installed the Delta time patch on several systems running SLS ,
Server and Client (V2.4A) , running under VMS 5.5-2 and VMS 6.1 and no
problems so far.

All the Best

SLS/MDMS, RDF and DCSC image files have been verified using
the TENSOR.EXE program provided by OpenVMS engineering. The
TENSOR program verified it is unnessary to re-install or re-link
any SLS/MDMS images after installing the VAXLIBR05 or ALPLIBR05
ECO's. This includes images from the RDF and DCSC products.
