3022.0. "Write to CD in STEREO?" by VYGER::GIBSONJ (Sundays papers on a Saturday?) Mon Jun 02 1997 12:49

I have just purchased an HP Surestore cd writer.
I didn't realize that to record audio to the cd that I couldn't just
start my dat tape running and hit record.
Anyway, I recorded from my dat down onto scsi drive via my hard disk
    recording software, Session 8.
I saved the 2 tracks as A_lft (left track) and A_rgt (right track).
When I added these wav files, to the playlist to prepare them for
writing to cd, instead of 2 tracks in stereo for the same song it
treated them as two different tracks (songs) in mono.

    QUESTION,

I've been told there is software available that will take to wav files
and merge them as one STEREO wav file.
    Is this true?
If so, what is the names of some software I can use.

    Thanks,

    John.

Wow, you have to save sound to wave files in order to cut music
(redbook?) CDs? 45 minutes of 44KHz stereo wav files must take up a
    LOT of disk space!
