2980.0. "WIN95 clock won't change from AM to PM!" by FABSIX::J_SADIN (Freedom isn't free.) Mon Apr 07 1997 11:33

    Ok, silly question time:

    	I can't get the clock on Win95 to change from AM to PM! What's up
    with that? I can change the time, month, whatever, just not the am/pm
    button. Am I missing something here?

    	Thanks for any help.

2980.1try this, works for meSUBSYS::MSOUCYMentalmETALMikeMon Apr 07 1997 12:4312

    Hi,

    I just tried this and it worked.

    Go into control panel, double-click date/time, highlight the AM/PM
    portion and use the up/down arrow. Changed it, applied it, moved mouse
    to taskbar to make it active and it showed PM, changed it back via
    above methods, back to AM now. Is this what you were trying to do??

    	Yup, and I couldn't get it to change. I would click on the up/down
    arrow and it would highlight the AM/PM portion, but when I went to
    apply it, it wouldn't show anything but AM (I was doing all this in the
    evening obviously). Going back into date/time under the control panel
    showed that it was still set to AM.

    	I'll give it another go tonight.

    	thanks,

2980.3F8 when booting to get to boot menu...CONSLT::OWENStop Global WhiningMon Apr 07 1997 13:446
    Try it from "safe mode". I've seen controls in some of the many
    control panels not work right because of weirdness with the video
    drivers.

2980.4Try to use military time convention....NETCAD::BATTERSBYMon Apr 07 1997 14:027
    If you are just trying to change the time from standard to
    Daylight Savings, and are having trouble changing from am to pm,
    you may have to simply use military time (IE: 3:00pm=15:00), so that
    entering 3:00 can only mean am. But then again, the wierdness with
    certain video drivers doesn't surprise me.

    	re: "Safe" mode

    	how does one boot W95 in 'safe' mode? I've never had occasion to
    try...

    	thanks!

    	It worked! After booting in "safe" mode I was able to change the
    clock. I couldn't change it otherwise....

    	thanks for all the tips!
