| Well, the Pentium MMX *overdrive* isn't out yet, and probably won't
be for a while. A Pentium MMX Overdrive would use the normal Vre
regulator that regular Pentiums use.
The "normal" Pentium MMX is offered in just one Celebris FX model at
this point (5200M). (It so happens that there's two version of the
Celebris FX 5200M: one with Matrox for Europe, and one with S3 for
the U.S.). It uses a special 2.8/2.9v regulator.

FOLSOM, Calif., March 3 (Reuter) - Intel Corp said Monday its
Pentium OverDrive processors with MMX technology were available to
upgrade Pentium processor-based systems with speeds of 100, 90 and
75 megahertz. The company said the 100-MHz chip would run at 166-MHz
with an OverDrive upgrade. The upgraded 90-MHz chip would run at
150-MHz and the upgraded 75-MHz chip would run at 125-MHz.
The company said test results show a significant increase in processor
performance for common desktop applications with the upgrade. The new
OverDrive MMX chips bring television-quality video, three-dimensional
graphics and better sound to personal computers, Intel said. Each
Pentium OverDrive MMX chip will include a CD-ROM sampler featuring a
free MMX technology software application, "Rebel Moon Rising" from
Fenris Wolf, and several demonstrations of other MMX applications.
Intel shares closed up four at 145-7/8.
The company said the manufacturer's prices for the new series of
OverDrive chips are $499 for the 100-MHz Pentium OverDrive processor
and $399 for the 75-MHz and 90-MHz upgrades.
