A friend of mine who is in charge at a local zoo gave me a small little
white duck (Call duck) last week. This duck is one of about 100
domestic raised ducks that she has raised. It took us about 10 minutes
to catch it at the Zoo and and another 5 or 10 minutes to bring it over
to my house to add to my pond. After 5 minutes of introducing it to the
other ducks at my pond it took all of about 1 second for this nice
little addition to do the 50 yard dash and fly off into the sunset.

She then called me a few minutes later and explained how to clip a few
of the feathers so the duck wouldn't fly away on me. I do live next to
two large lakes that are loaded with all types of duck, geese and
swans. It did look like the duck was headed for the lakes...oh well.
