320.0. "Documentation error in the Installation Guide for PCA" by SMBIII::FRECHETTE () Fri Mar 21 1997 17:38

A customer noticed that the DECset Installation Guide for the Alpha
V12.1 does not have the correct version numbers for the optional
software you can use with DEC PCA 4.3. It seems that a few of the
products are stated as if this were on the VAX not the AXP.

You may want to look over the section to determine which of them are
    correct:

    7.3 Optional Software

You can use the following optional software with DEC PCA
          Version 4.3:

o DEC Ada, Version 1.0, or VAX Ada, Version 2.0 or later

o DEC BASIC, Version 3.2 and Version 3.3 or later

o DEC BLISS-32 Implementation Language, Version 4.5 or
             later

o DEC C, Version 2.4 through Version 4.0 or later

o DEC COBOL, Version 4.2 or later

o DEC DIBOL, Version 4.0 or later

o DEC Fortran, Version 5.5 or later

o DEC Fortran HPO, Version 1.0 or later

o DEC Pascal, Version 3.9 and 4.0 or later

          o DEC PL/I, Version 3.2 or later

o DEC RPG II, Version 2.1 or later

o DEC SCAN, Version 1.1 or later

o DEC Test Manager, Version 3.6

          o DEC Language-Sensitive Editor/Source Code Analyzer,
             Version 4.3

    Thanks for reporting this.

The SPD is the correct place for optional software version information.
I'll go through our installation guides and check on this. Any optional
software version information I find will be logged as a documentation
bug and addressed (i.e., removed) in a future release of the
    documentation.
