1487.0. "Patch for non-native handling of Signal -> exception" by KZIN::HUDSON (That's what I think) Tue Feb 18 1997 09:45

turris::c_plus_plus #3325.5 makes reference to a DECthreads making "a
fix in their pool for unix V4.0C" for a problem that showed up using
pthreads exceptions in C++ programs.

The note recommended that a QAR be entered. I've not been able to find
a QAR and can't see anything in this conference that I believe matches
this issue; can someone confirm whether this problem is ongoing/fixed or
whatever?

Thanks

1487.1A QAR was never entered...PTHRED::PORTANTEPeter Portante, DTN 381-2261, (603)881-2261, MS ZKO2-3/Q18Tue Feb 18 1997 21:3010
Folks,

A QAR was never entered for this problem. But there are TWO IPMT cases on this
issue. A patch is being developed and will be issued at some point in time, but
I don't know exactly. Hopefully before April at the latest.

When the patch is available, a note will be posted here telling folks where to
pick it up...

I'm involved with this call now as well. There is a .5 million
pound contract riding on the ability of ORBIX to work in a
multithreaded environment. This patch is essential for it to
work.

So, any progress?
thanks

Sorry, Simon, we're currently servicing contracts which exceed ~30 million
pounds (depending on the exchange rate).
