    Can I check with some NCL command if a DECnis has a MPC-II or MPC-III
    card installed ??

an MPC-I will have a name of the form:

MP8M -1

an MPC-II will have a name of the form:

MP16-1

an MPC-III wil have a name of the form:

MPC3-1

(the amount of memory present in the MPC can now always be deduced from the
Number of Buffers characteristic so the memory-size indication in the name is no
longer important.)

The Firmware ID for MPC3 will also be V10-00 or later.

Node NIS118 Device Unit MPC3-1 Firmware Identifier = "3 2-3.6 V10-00 6.0"

Node NIS203 Device Unit MP16-1 Firmware Identifier = "3 2-3.6 V9-08 6.0"
