3611.0. "PhaseIV-to-V-transl.-bug 3.1.8" by UTOPIE::BRAUN_R () Mon Apr 21 1997 17:13
Hi,
a few months ago, we had an IPMT (sorry, no # at the moment), where
a severe phaseIV-toV-translation bug had been introduced with DECNIS
3.1.8 (and not fixed in 3.1.9), resulting in ugly slow performance
between DECnet-OSI 6.1-systems and PhaseIV-systems.
The ipmt was closed with the statement: does not occur anymore
with DECnet-OSI 6.3, ECO x (?), please upgrade to 6.3...
(and the customer had a bypass with 3.1.7, was not able to upgrade
OSI 6.3 immediately).
Yesterday we had the same situation at another customer's site,
on the DECnet-OSI-system 6.3, ECO5 and definitely due to 3.1.8,
the same problem with PhaseIV, verified by downgrade to 3.1.6.
Not sure, if the proposed ECO was 5 or 6 of DECnet-OSI 6.3
Does this really matter ?
Does anybody remember ?
Thanks,
Ralph
