Can someone tell me waht RFC Digital used to encapsulate frame relay in PPP. I am having trouble with a proble that is trying to decode the packet.

As DIGITAL implemented Frame Relay with cisco, Stratcom and Northern Telecom (aka 'the gang of four' or the Joint Agreement) before the RFC standardization for it, we don't, currently, conform to RFC1294/RFC1490/RFC1973 For IP over FrameRelay the encapsulation is for PPP its DLCI0 DLCI1 0xFF 0x03 0x00 0x21 0x45...rest of IP packet for CHDLC DLCI0 DLCI1 0x08 0x00 0x45...rest of IP packet RFC compliant encapsulation would be RFC1490 DLCI0 DLCI1 0x03 0xCC 0x45...rest of IP packet RFC1973 DLCI0 DLCI1 0x03 0xCF 0xFF 0x03 0x00 0x21 0x45...rest of IP packet |
