I would like that in the next wave of clearVISN MultiChassis Manager support
a Textual report(some icons in the report may be nice also) that gives the
information on the
 o current hub configuration &
 o modules(in each slots), its configuration sumary and any customer
   critical alarms.

Basically, with this single printable report, one could get an executive
summary of the whole HUB - AS OPPOSED - to clicking on each module and
figuring out their configuration and alarms/errors.

I thought this could be a good customer feature, any comments from folks
who deal with customers?

    John, when you say "already gives you some of this", could you
    elaborate on what this "some" is? I certainly haven't up to
    this point utilized all the possible features of the clearVISN
    tools, and also agree with Vijay that a "report" type of text 
    file with perhaps some graphics as a bonus would be an excellent 
    feature for either the purpose of trouble-shooting at some later
    point or simply as a snapshot aid that one could also be able 
    to print out.

You are right that if we want to implement a printable-hub-configuration
-report then "Recovery Manager" has lot of the underlying code to support
it.  Currently, Recovery Mgr shows a very high level info on the hub and
it's modules and the files it generates are not easily decipherables.
May be a button can be added to Recv Mgr to print or save a human-redable
reports. 

However, the feature truly falls under the domain of "MultiChassis Mgr".
MCM today can give a graphical report of what the HUB and it's module
configuration.  What I am suggesting is to extend this to print a
Textual report to help the Network Adminstrators manage the DEC-hubs.

I don't know too much of the Recovery Mgr code internals, but will Recv-Mgr
be give a report on RMON error counters?  Also, Recov-Mgr does not support
all of the modules.  If we implement this, I leave it up to dev. org. to
decide the best way to implement this.
