3369.0. "Bridge90FL in Hub900, hub management should be disabled?" by IAMOSI::LEUNG (Dennis Leung, Sydney CSC) Mon Mar 18 1996 03:55

hub900 with Repeater90C in slot 1 and Bridge90FL in slot 8

I believes that the hub management option should be disabled in the Bridge90FL
when the bridge is in a hub900. Is that correct?

Customer has turned on hub management in a bridge which is in a hub900 to manage
the repeater90c and that caused the backbone port (AUI) to go into a disabled
state. Enabling that port puts it only into a listening state.

Thanks
Dennis

Yes, the hub900 should be the hub master for 90 devices
when they are in the hub. The hub will need an IP address
(OBM or in-band IP address).
