3357.0. "V4.1 BadDrawable error using CDE" by CSC32::J_SOBECKI (John Sobecki, DTN 592-4101, CXO3-2/D2) Tue Mar 12 1996 23:13

    Hello,

HUBWatch V4.1, Digital UNIX V3.2D, running Common Desktop Environment
    (CDE) window system installed.

Customer reports when he tries Applications, Find Address, Hubwatch
crashes. I had him run it with dbx and tried a where but it did not
print out anything. Here is what we got:

    Can't get [security1_off] from hierarchy
X Error of failed request: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window
    parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 14 (X_GetGeometry)
Resource id in failed request: 0x0
Serial number of failed request: 11444
Current serial number in output stream: 11444
    Program terminated by Trace/BPT trap
    (dbx) where

Is Hubwatch V4.1 supported under CDE? If so, is there a fix for this
    problem?

    Thanks,
    John Sobecki

    John,

As far as I know, your customer is the first person in all of history
to ever try HUBwatch under Digital UNIX's CDE.

Call me crazy, but was the customer running Netscape at the time?

    Hello,

Now I've got another customer running Digital UNIX V4.0, running CDE
and Hubwatch V4.1.1. I guess the question is: Will Hubwatch ever
support CDE, or is my customer out of luck?

Should I open up an IPMT case for an official response?

    Thanks,
    John Sobecki

Digital UNIX 4.0 and now when I try to run hubwatch I get this error:
