3321.0. "Another duplicate node question" by RTP4ME::GALLAGHER (Celebrate another day of livin'!) Mon Mar 04 1996 20:22

    VMS V6.1
    HUBwatch V3.1.3

My customer has a problem similar to that reported in note 2284.2,
    but a tab bit different.

When searching for duplicates from the agent 149.42.128.11 via
the "main" hub they get the following:

Mac Address Agent IP Address	Community	Slot Port
    00-00-94-00-aa-1f	149.42.128.11 main 4 4
    00-00-94-00-aa-1f	149.42.128.11 main 4 4
    00-00-94-00-c7-77	149.42.128.11 main 4 3
    00-00-94-00-c7-77	149.42.128.11 main 4 3
    00-00-94-07-f6-23	149.42.128.11 main 5 5
    00-00-94-07-f6-23	149.42.128.11 main 5 5
    00-00-94-20-2a-d1	149.42.128.11 main 4 1
    00-00-94-20-2a-d1	149.42.128.11 main 4 1
    .
    .
    .

This goes on for 100 lines. As you can see each line is duplicated.
Could someone help me understand what this output is telling us.

This is only happening from this one hub. They though it was a
hardware problem and have swap out every piece of hardware in that
    hub including the backplane.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Ed Gallagher

Just came across a twist to this situation. We tried this same
functions (the duplicate node pull down) on a PC running V4.1.1,
    and no duplicates were found.
Could someone please explain? Has anyone seen this before
    on a VMS/HubWatch V3.1.3 system?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
    Ed Gallagher
