3295.0. "Does the DETAX give us 17 ports?" by NCMAIL::BANKOWSKIJ () Tue Feb 20 1996 01:46

    How many ports is the DETML? I know it's published as a 16 port
    10BaseT repeater. However, when you stack it in a DETAX (w/AUI port)
    does it become a 17 port repeater? Then add the thinwire port and it
    becomes an 18 port repeater? I realize the thinwire port has it's
    purpose and works in addition to the AUI port on the DETML/DETAX combo.
    I'm more interested in the number of available / usable ports.

    Thanks,
    Jim Bankowski

    Yes, it's an 18 port repeater. We need to to be more agressive in our
    advertising. These extra 2 ports can lower out per port cost!

    It's the only small form-factor module that has active daisy-chaining
    port, rear panel AUI and front panel UTP ports, all at the same time!
    16+1+1 = 18

    It's pretty nice.
