    220-FTP passthrough server (V1.0mjr)
220-To connect to a remote FTP server give your login as:
    220-user@server.serverdomain (EG: anonymous@host.cs.mumble.edu)
    220-
220-Prior to FTPing through the gateway, please conserve valuable
    network
220-bandwidth if possible by checking on gatekeeper.dec.com (DECWRL::)
    for
    220-any publically available FTP archives.
    220-
220-If using Digital Pathways cryptokeys, authorize yourself by sending
220-"authorize <badge-number>" and respond to challenge using "response
    <##>"
220-If your FTP client doesn't support authentication, use
    220-"quote authorize <badge-number>" and "quote response <##>"
220-If your connection is not authorized, you can still copy data
    inbound.
    220-
220 Send bug reports to ftp-gw@crl.dec.com.
    Connected to oddjob.pa-x.DEC.COM.

I think the problem is that you are using the ftp gateway.

bhub.dechub.lkg.dec.com is inside the firewall. The FTP gateway cannot
connect to hosts within digital unless you have a cryptokey. (I think).
The only reason to use the ftp gateway to get to an internal system is
if you were coming in from the Internet. If this is the case, I still
don't see the problem, since I can connect to both bhub and ftp-gw.

If you are on the internal network, connect directly without using the
    ftp gateway.

    Ok, thanks
We have problems reaching the internet, a static route in the router
    solved the problem

3294.5Yet another 4.1.2 kit questionRTP4ME::GALLAGHERPut me in coach!Fri Mar 29 1996 18:057
Can customers on the Internet outside this firewall get at the HUBwatch
for Windows V4.1.2 kit? If so, how...what is the FTP site to use?
I've searched this note and the ftp.digital.com and haven't come
    across any pointers.

    Help, please,
    Ed Gallagher
3294.6No customers allowed!SLINK::HOODYour bad news bearFri Mar 29 1996 19:056
No, customers cannot access that ftp area. We do not distribute
software (at this time) via ftp to customers. It must be ordered
through the ssb.
