dear readers,

will digitals packetprobe90 ever support  the "Resource Manager" function
that is avaliable with our PROBEwatch V3.3.2 software on Digital Unix.

i have a customer planning on buying 14 more packetprobe90's  to locate 
throughout his network, and he wants to know if needs to purchase NETscout
probes from Frontier instead.  

1) will the packetprobe90 ever have the same 'resource manager' functionality
   as the NETscout? (via firmware upgrade or whatever...)
2) if the above answer is no, does digital re-sell the NETscout hardware?

     There are no current or future plans to support the Resource Manager 
     option in the DEC PacketProbes.
     
     The Resource Manager option is supported in all of Frontiers probes 
     for Ethernet, Token Ring, WAN, FDDI and Fast Ethernet.  
     
     Digital's Multivendor Customer Services (MCS) resells Frontier's 
     entire product line.  The Network Products Group (NPG) resells 
     Frontier's WAN and FDDI probes.
